The Small Block Bible

Racing engines are simple. Save money, make more power, and build them yourself.

The biggest complaint about racing today is the cost, and one of the most expensive parts of building a racecar is the engine. Having a professional build an engine is expensive. Save money – do it yourself.

This site is going to start by documenting my experience building a Chevy Small Block for circle track racing. This will be done with minimal tools and ZERO shop space. Eventually I would like to build the site into a one stop shop for all the information needed to an engine for grassroots racing.

I want to inspire others to build there own engines so we can get more cars back out of the track. All the information needed to build a race engine is scattered all over the internet and various books, we want to get it all pulled into one location.

I have no formal training in Automotive Mechanics, Machining, or Engine Assembly.

Worked with my cousin Kirk to build two SBC 350’s for my Super Stock. One in 2016, another in 2018 – I blueprinted them, Kirk assembled them.

Now I live in Los Angeles and Honda pays me to play with race cars.

Go Bills.
